Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 July 2026

This policy explains how (we, us) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit . We respect your privacy and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 as applied in Ireland.

What data we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and respond to messages:

  • Information you give us directly. When you submit the contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject and the message text you type, plus your explicit consent to be contacted.
  • Technical data collected automatically. Our hosting provider may log standard server information (IP address, browser type, referring page, the pages you visit and the time of visit) for the purposes of security and basic analytics.
  • Cookies. We use only essential cookies needed for the site to function. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party marketing pixels.

Why we use your data and the legal basis

  • To respond to your message (article 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent, given when you tick the consent box on the form).
  • To keep the site secure and working (article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in operating a safe, reliable website).
  • To understand which pages are read in aggregate, to improve content. We do not profile individuals or sell data.

How long we keep your data

Messages sent through the contact form are kept for up to 12 months so we can respond and follow up, after which they are deleted. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for security purposes.

Who has access

Only members of our small editorial team can read messages submitted through the form. Our hosting provider processes technical data on our behalf as a data processor, under a contract that meets GDPR requirements. We never sell, rent or share your personal data with marketers or third parties.

Cookies and consent

This site does not require a cookie banner because we do not set non-essential cookies. By continuing to use the site you consent to the essential technical cookies described above. You can clear cookies in your browser settings at any time without affecting your ability to read our courses.

Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”);
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • data portability; and
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at . We will respond within one month, as required by law.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data and we cannot resolve it, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, the Irish supervisory authority, at www.dataprotection.ie.
